The video below provides an overview of the "Live Bookmarking in Google Recordings" project. You can choose to read the details or simply watch the video.

  1. What is "Live Bookmarking in Google meet recording"?

During virtual meetings on Google Meet, often lasting hours, key insights and discussions can get buried under hours of recording. This "Live bookmarking" feature allows users to bookmark important segments during live recordings, making it easy to revisit specific discussions without needing to replay the entire meeting.

  1. How It Works?

Start Recording:

Initiate the recording by selecting the "Record Meeting" option from the "More" dropdown menu.

Activate Bookmarking:

Once recording starts, clicking on 'More' near the recording label reveals another dropdown with the bookmark option.

Manage Bookmarks:

Engage the toggle switch to start bookmarking. The voice wave color changes to indicate active bookmarking. Adjust the start time of your bookmark up to 3 minutes retroactively or set it manually to capture the essence of the discussion.

View and Edit Bookmarks:

The bookmarked segments are saved as cards displaying AI-generated titles, descriptions, and specific times, streamlining the review process.
